Transport: Metro – Pere Lachaise - 3 Renowned for having the grave of Jim Morrison – however there is contention as to whether it is. However the cemetery houses other famous people like: Chopin, Oscar Wilde and many more. Look out for the grave of Victor Noir, who was said to have a large package. Women flock to this grave to rub the bulge of his statue on the grave because it is thought that it will increase their fertility. Make sure you pick up a map on the way in though, because there are many people to visit and aimless wondering through dead people, well…...

Grave of James Douglas Morrison aka. Jim Morrison (8 december 1943 – 3 july 1971) American singer, poet , songwriter , writer, and film diretor. He is best known as the lead singer and lyricist of The Doors, and is widely considered to be one of the most charismatic frontmen in rock music history. He was also the author of several books of poetry, and the director of a documentary and short film.

Definitely worth a visit, but pick up a map before you go! It's very very easy to get lost. (Free maps are available at the conservation office - 16 rue du Repos, 20e). The grave of Oscar Wilde (Division 89) is covered in kisses, and the grave of Jim Morrison (Division 6) is tucked behind a larger grave marker so keep your eyes peeled.

The final resting place of Oscar Wilde and Jim Morisson. The only reason they did not ascend into heaven is that it would not befit their lives. Their talent surely would have warranted it. Therefore, be glad that there's a scratch of ground to mark the lives of these two remarkable men and go visit.

Pere Lachaise is the most known cemitery in Paris. I didn't like very much of the french atractions, but here you can find the graves of Jim Morrison, Edith Piaf and Oscar Wilde. It's a lovely garden, with beautiful graves for a nice walk.
