Awesome. What can I say that others haven't? So much classic stuff. I especially loved the Egyptian stuff -- the Book of the Dead in glass cases mounted on the wall -- the weighing of the heart ceremony -- was really surreal to see the original. Of course there is a constant crowd around the Mona Lisa. Oh, and you can take photos of a lot of the historical stuff!!! Always a plus. Went there twice and spent probably a total of 4 hours at least over 4 days -- and only scratched the surface.

Don't stand in line at the pryamid, adjacent to the mini arc d'triomphe is staircase that leads you to the underground shops and a metro station. There is usually a very short line. Pick one or two galleries to see in any given day. Grab lunch at the outside cafe and enjoy the people watching.

You will need more time at the Louvre than you think. It will take you hours even if all you do is walk through the museum. Have an idea of what you'd like to see before you go because you can't really appreciate how big it is until you're inside! Here's my tip: If you're under 18 entry to the permanent collection is free, while those under 26 can enter free after 6pm on Fridays. We opted for the latter entry, and while we had less than 4 hours we saw a lot of amazing things! The lines also weren't long at all and the popular exhibits (like the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo) weren't crowded. It was a good time to go!

Europe’s Oldest, Biggest, Greatest and second most crowded museum. Grab a floor plan at Information so that you don’t miss any of your favourite works like the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo and Winged Victory and still have time to discover other parts of the city.

I love the glass pyramid of the Musee du Louvre. It's just so beautiful at night. The Louvre has lots of collections, not only European paintings but also sculptures, Oriental and Egyptian antiquities, Greek, Etruscan and Roman antiquities and others. Most people know The Louvre Museum as the home of famous art collection. It is true. We can find the Mona Lisa painting, which was painted by the famous artist, Leonardo da Vinci. There are also notable Flemish paintings, including Jan van Eyck's Madonna of the Chancellor Rolin. Also, the famous Self portrait and Bathsheba by Rembrandt.

Fabulous architechture - be sure you look at the outside as well as the inside of la louvre. I have 3 top tips - To tip 1 - allow more time than you think you need and take refreshments. Top tip 2 - Manually set your camera flash to OFF before going inside, to avoid being shouted at by staff. Top tip 3 - There is much more to see than the Mona Lisa (which is disappointing). If you just ask staff where the ML is, then they get annoyed because you will be surrounded by lots more fabulous treasures then a dull painting behind what appears to be 3 feet of bullet proof glass!

the Louvre is one of the largest palaces in the world, as well as one the world's great art museums. Important paintings include the Pietà of Avignon, Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, two marble Slaves by Michelangelo, ect.

I really enjoy visiting the Louvre, although I don't think there's any way that you should attempt to see everything in one visit- it's much too overwhelming! The audio tours also make a big difference to the experience, especially if you're not really up to date on art. I have found audio tours in Paris to be a bit hit and miss, but this one is really well done.

It is absolutely unbelievable to be in the world's largest and most famous museum. The artwork was fascinating (The French paintings were by far my favorite with their soft colors and captivating emotional lure) and the exhibits very cultural and interesting. Everything was very well organized, but it's too bad I couldn't read the language. Ha ha.

The Louvre and the Triangle look great when lit up. The buildings are all lovely in Paris. The Eiffel tower is also lovely to see. I had to pick one but both are great for different reasons. Notre Dame is also an amazing building. All three are a must to see if you visit Paris. You can easily catch a cab. Its also pretty cheap to go in. ..

If you enter through the shopping mezzanine and buy the museum pass through an automated bank-type machine, you'll skip the lines and wait at the crystal pyramid on the plaza. The line was at least an hour long at the pyramid and going the other way, we walked right in! And you must see the Louvre if you are in Paris!

This was spectacular. I saw the Mona Lisa, The eyes really do follow you but otherwise I found it mediocre. The statue gallery was my favorite part. The Eros and Psyche statue became my favorite piece of art because of this trip.

A huge museum filled with older paintings and statues, people looking for colorful art should go to the other art museums in Paris. The statues are more of the monumental kind. One should be fit to walk literally miles to see everything in this museum.

What can I say, the Louvre is amazing! Have a game plan. There is so much to see, so if there is something that is a must, see it first. The building itself is a piece of art. Slow down, take your time, take it all in.

Amazing! My absolute favorite museum in Paris! Only thing that can be said against this place is it's size! Saying that it's big is a bit of an understatement! It's worth the trip to Paris- it's worth the trip to France!

It's very impressive to see the glass piramides of the Louvre. I didn't go inside because there were too many people in line waiting. But next time i go, i'll stay longer to see every single art work there's to find.
