The word famous caves of Lascaux is the main centre of attraction in this small vicinity. And rightly so: although the original cave has been closed for a few years in order to preserve it from outside influences, the replica which one visits and which is situated a mere few yards away, is just as impressive. It is an exact copy and once you're inside you just wouldn't know the difference. The place is actually far more interesting than one would initially imagine it to be. The paintings made by the cavemen are impressive by any standards, but the guide also explains what little we know about these primitive humans who somehow managed to express themselves in such a deeply emotional way. Definitely worth seeing.
