Marseille is a Beautiful Coastal City, it's warm and has a beautiful port.
Le Chateau d'If is a Fortress Prison Island, rebels, slaves and crimninals used to be kept there. It became famous after Dumas wrote his story Count of Monte Cristo, The prisoner who managed to escape after 14 years.

If you're in Marseilles, go and visit this little isle with the famous Chateau d'If, just off the coast. Although it may be a little crowded sometimes, you still have a nice view over the city and the sea.. and it's culture..
