An absolute charming place. best time to go is off season, cheap hotels. rent a car to drive along the coast. Nice is also well connected by the TGV Train from Paris

Beautiful city. A lot of nice sites, beautiful home, and probably has one of the best selection of beaches in the world. A very famous spot for the wealthily. So will need quite a bit of money for restaurants and hotels.

It is most popular for film festival, which takes place every year in summer. Main events take place at the Festival Palace, where you can see famous stairs with a red carpet.

Nice is great, there are other places further west that are nicer in the South of France, just to get a sandy beach with a matala and a drink, but Nice is very nice. :-)
