There is something very 1920s about this place which is what makes it so much fun. Soaking in the mineral spring after a day of hiking the nearby Black Forest seems almost retro-decadent. After a short rest and dressing for the occasion (to impress) head to the casino. We did not gamble, just to people watch. It was a day of serious contrasts: Nature, health spa and casino. That is what travel is all about.
