Freiburg is the prettiest city in all of Germany, cozy and worth going to. The Münster in Freiburg is the gothic cathedral, one of the best of that style, and much older and more original than the dome in Köln. The place around it has farmers market every other day. Nice pubs also and shopping very close by. Just the toy stores that I used to frequent as a little boy are not there any more.
