The clock show takes place three times a day. It involves a recreation of the Coopers Dance (A dance celebrating the wedding of the Bavarian prince who created Oktoberfest, now that’s a reason to celebrate!), followed by a jousting match between Bavaria Austria a cheerful goodbye.

This is the most over-rated attraction in Europe. But you should go just to say that you have. It goes off at 11am and 5pm (11am and 12pm in Winter). When it chimes the square fills with people looking upwards. Good funny tourist picture to bring home.
