Munich’s Oktoberfest is an annual 16 day long festival that takes place during late September to early October. It is considered to be the world’s largest party and attracts 6 million revelers each year. Most of the visitors are from Germany, but that still leaves nearly 1 million foreigners each year.

The primary point of the festival is to have a communal celebration involving lots of beer and food. Enormous beer hall tents are set up over a 42 hectare area. Some of these tents hold up to 10,000 people. People are packed at communal tables and drink one litre mugs of beer and eat sausages.

Another part of the attraction of Oktoberfest is the atmosphere. The ledhosen-attired Bavarian band will play on and you revel with your newfound friends in a raucous and joyous atmosphere.
