Beautiful!!!! It's the castle the the Disney castle is modeled after...only it's the real deal. The last King of Germany lived there. Being there is like walking through a fairy tale. Tip: Take the carriage ride up, -especially if it's cold and rainy. There are steps cut into the side the hill/mountain that you can climb up, but if it's winter, as when I was there, the steps will be a slick of ice. My friend had to practically drag me up the mountain. I could not stay on my feet. lol.

The most beautiful and majestic thing I've ever seen. Everything is so classic, and in the winter, it's like a fairytale. Mostly all the hotels give you a view of either Neuschwanstein or the other castle, Schwangau. You can take a coach with horses up to the castle and get a tour inside. It makes you feel like you're back in time.

Beautiful area. Castle is very cool and the life story of Mad Kind Ludwig is interesting and sad. On the drive to or from stop in at any of the little *mom and pop* road side shops. They are filled with friendly people and fun stuff.

A fairytale castle dedicated to the opera. Every room is painted with scenes from an opera. A must see if you are in Southern Germany.

The castle that Ludwig II built as a fantasy castle. Walt Disney copied it for Disneyland. Built in about 1850 and meant to be one of his residences.

The walk up was a little long but the castle tour was amazing. Note: take plenty of pictures of the outside. No pictures are allowed inside.

Wunderschönes Schloss. Macht wirklich Spass dort dieses anzusehen. Auch wenn drinnen das Schloss Hohenschwangau schöner ist

It's the original after which Walt Disney copied his symbol-mark Castle! It's an architectural masterpiece! Great!

Die idyllische Lage von Neuschwanstein ist einmalig und die Burg des Märchenkönigs wirklich ein Märchenschloss
