Built 1823-1830 by Karl Friedrich Schinkel in a neoclassical style. This museum remains one of the most interesting places showing the Greco-Roman art for its unique collection.
The collection includes mainly art from ancient Greece, ancient Rome and some items from ancient Egypt.

The museum is located centrally in the Island of Museums, next to the Berliner Dom.

The collection is stunning. This is where you see one of the most famous sculptures of the ancient world, e.g. the head of Pericles. I also had the chance to see the sculpture of the famous Nefertiti which usually is located in the Ägyptisches Museum.

Pretty nice inside and outside! Worth a visit if you're interested in antiquity and archaeological finds. A must do for all students of classical archaeology.

a great place to study about urban history like the fall of adolf hitler including the russians took over berlin....
