Fun times, just a bit expensive! It's a good place to go in combo with the zoo and if you've got lots of time in the west. A better visit might be heading to Berlin's other zoo though - it's in the East close to Friedrichsfelde and is much larger and more of a local spot - you can avoid the tourist swarms!

Wow! Have never seen such a variety in basins in a zoo acquarium before. Many different species and waterscapes. Great design of the building as well. Water is very clean, so there is a great visibility (believe me, it is not always that superb in other acquaria).

I stayed in Berlin in 1982 and travelled arround East Germany across the Polish boarder.
At the same time I visited all the institutions for handicapped people.It was a great joy to be together with the people there before the reunion.

Fun! If you want to see animals from around the world, thats the place.
Also near is big Zoo, where you can spend the whole day and still woulds see all the animals.
Really good place to go with kids.

nice place for first timers...... nothing in comparable to Dubai aquarium or the one in singapore.

easily accessible by public transport.

amidist numerous tourist locations
