Jan 8, 2010 The Berliner Dom is one of the most beautiful buildings I ever saw. I don't know what it is about it, but it just fascinated me. Also, it is situated in a really nice location close to almost all must see museums. The inside is also very special. Since I am of the opinion that early bird really does catch the worm so I was there when it opened at 9 am with maybe 2 – 3 other tourists. The organ was playing in the background and the light was shining inside making it glow gold. A freaky thing is that the Dom is also a burial place for German kings, but also prominent German families. As I said since I was almost all alone there I decided to skip going into the crypt, even if I did hear it was really nice and should be seen. Jan 12, 2010 Berliner Dom is the colloquial name for the Evangelical Oberpfarr- und Domkirche (English analogously: Supreme Parish and Collegiate Church, literally Supreme Parish and Cathedral Church) in Berlin, Germany. It is the parish church of the Evangelical congregation Gemeinde der Oberpfarr- und Domkirche zu Berlin, a member of the umbrella organisation Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia. Its present building is located on Museum Island in the Mitte borough. Nov 14, 2009 Real Center Of Europe! You can feel it, you can touch it. Exellent place for sight seeing and having fun. For rough travellers the trip to East End district.
