Situated in Alexanderplatz but well seen from all the points in the center of the city.Including the antenas it is 368 meters high and so it is one of the tallest in Europe.It was built mainly to answer to the needs of former East Germany.The construction ended in 1969.The observation point is at 203 meters and above it there is a revolving restaurant,making two full turns per hour .From the time we got to the tower and to the time we finished the tour it took two hours! It was on a Saturday and on a beautiful sunny day on 18th of this December.It was not snowy weather but the visibility from 203 meters was foggy a bit .Still we did have a good view-not good at all for photos .We could not eat at the restaurant because only guests with prior reservations were let in.
All in all it was a pleasant experience.

It's basically one of the symbols of Berlin like the Brandenburger Gate or the Siegessäule. On a beautiful day you can see from the top almost the whole Berlin! So then it is definitely worth it. I once came out of a club in the morning and spent 8 hours with friends in that café. The Fernsehturm-Café is a moving café so you can see everything in panorama view. One 360° turn takes 30min. I can understand that it is annoying to stay in line and that it is overpriced but it's like everywhere with tourist attractions. And some like the CN tower you just can enjoy the view and that's it... So if you got lucky with a sunny day and you don't mind waiting you definitely will get rewarded... A must for Berlin fans!

As Paris have her Eiffel tower, Berlin has her Television Tower.... Great view from all Berlin's buildings, houses and parks... worth to see it even if you should wait quite a bit before getting inside...

Situated in Alexanderplatz, is a part of the former DDR, using a really fast elevator one can go to the top part and see all the city from above. Also a restaurant is there if you want to eat something.

This place is fabulous! It has two levels, a restaurant and a bar level. The cool thing is that both levels rotate, so you get to see the whole city. Food is expensive.
