The “Viertel” is the place to go in the evening. There is a lot of pubs and small cafés to hang out and have a beer or good but payable food.. For those who like to go dancing: No clubs here, it's more relaxed. Sit outside and watch the people, you won't believe what the “Viertel” holds.
During the day you will find small book shops, artist or antiques. It's always a bustling place :)

If you are tired of the big clubs that look the same in every city, the viertel is the place to be. Cozy cafes ( those german livingroomkind) with well dressed and nice people. This is a bit more alternative and underground, but it is really good. The people here are likely to show you the good parties.

If you are tired of going shopping in Obernstraße or Sögestraße and later having dinner at one of the bars along the river Schlachte, you should really try out the Viertel with it's alternative shops, restaurants and bars like for exampel "Wohnzimmer" or the Irish Pup.
