Pretty odd that Travel Brain thinks the Cologne Cathedral is in Aachen, which of course has its own Dom. Since Aachen and Cologne are only 45 minutes apart by train you could see both Doms in one day. And why not? Both terrific sites and world class destinations.

If you are at least minimally interested in architecture, you really should visit the Aachener Dom!
Münsterplatz around it is very beautiful, and I suggest a delicious Kaffee und Kuchen at Nobis bakery nearby.

Heel mooi gebouw, zeker als je de rijke geschiedenis als Paltskapel van Karel de Grote ervan kent!
