I would never have gone into a Museum of Transport of my own free will but was lured in to watch a film of the historic pre-WWII Dresden. Admission to the museum was free with the price of the film ticket, so I stayed to check out the place after the showing of the film. It was fantastic, including displays on the railroad system, origins of Lufthansa, dirigibles, the East German auto industry- you name it. Definitely worth the time.
