Getting there:
Take a tro-tro from Accra. If you go to the Tema station, ask for tros going to Ada Foah. You may have to write down the name as Ghanaians pronounce it differently; something like ad-AH fo.
To get to the resort at the beach you will need to hire a canoe to take you to the seaside. You should call ahead so they know to pick you up.

Apr 15, 2009 Ada Foah is absolutely beautiful. We stayed at the resort there, which is made up of many thatched huts. If you're looking for first world amenities, then this is not your place. The floor inside is sand and it is not uncommon to see little crabs inside your room. Do not bring anything valuable that you plan on leaving in the room since the rooms only lock on the inside with a "security nail." That said, if you're cool with roughing it a bit, you should come here. The atmosphere is very relaxed and it's one of the cleaner beaches in Ghana. Swimming isn't the best here as the waves are quite powerful, but the beach is perfect for sun bathing. Oh, and don't forget to bring toilet paper! May 27, 2009 Ghana is the perfect country for first time sub-saharan Africa travelers, lots of stuff to do, friendly people and scores of beaches, parks, jungles, whatever.
