Jan 13, 2009 Despite being gigantic, this market is very well organized. Stalls are largely grouped by catagory (fabrics, foods, etc.) so you can relatively easily make your way to the area where you want to go. It could probably take days to get through the whole thing, so it's a good idea to ask for someone to point you in the right direction for what you are looking for. I was particularly surprised at how helpful people were and how relatively non-pushy people were as well. If you can, get up above the action on the 2nd floor balcony that surrounds a good portion of the market and you can get an excellent view of the entire scene. Apr 3, 2009 Around 6 hours drive from Accra bring you to this traditional center of the Ashanti kingdom. This market, the largest market in West Africa, has literally everything, welcoming the locals and travelers with overwhelming energy. Jul 31, 2008 One of the largest markets I've ever seen... With lots of disgusting things!
