Quite an amazing place to visit. The view from the top of the cliff is absolutely stunning. The best time to visit this place would have to be during sunset. There is a bus every 30 minutes from Athens that goes to Kato Sounion and the journey takes approximately 2 hours if one takes the coastal bus. There is an alternative which is the inland bus (its 30 minutes shorter than the other however the journey is not scenic at all).

The Temple of Poseidon has more left of it than a lot of the temples in the area but the most impressive thing about this temple is its location. The temple is located on a cliff high above the ocean and is quite the site. It offers a breathtaking view and peaceful setting. A must see.

Quite an impressive little temple, esp. at night. The spot is perfect for sunset seeing. Also watch out for the "Famous Grouse birds" (don't know the name in English, sorry).
