The village of Thira is a gem. You can have lovely walks (climbs and descents!) in the town, sit down for a cool drink, eat some fish (BBQ). When you've had enough of the buzz of this village, by all means go to one of the beaches. They will give you the weirdest feeling as the sand is BLACK (volcanic).
