The best known (and for many, the most beautiful) sunset in Greece. Hundreds of people just standing or sitting by the cliff, to watch the sun melt in aegean see. Everybody claping hands when this happens and some hiding a tear in their eye. (yes, i have seen it happening...). If you visit Santorini, don't watch sunst only from kaldera in Fira. Also go there. It's more quiet and you feel you're closer to nature...

The must-see place in Thira (Santorrini) is Oia (Ia). Not nearly as tourist crowded as Fira it offers just as much to see and even more beautiful view than anywhere on the island. It is a 15 minute drive from Fira on a scooter or and ATV. Be sure to see the local Wine and peanut vendor on the south end of the parking lot for some awesome sugar-roasted nuts with sesame seeds.

The place to go for a picture perfect, jaw dropping, postcard worthy sunset. Really, words can't describe how beautiful it was to have a clear view of the sun as it was setting over the Mediterranean, surrounded by the whitewashed buildings of Oia and the seabreeze blowing through the air.
