I absolutely LOVE LOVE the market place in Antigua. Though a lot of it is overcharged since a lot of "gringos" are in the area its such a cool experience! The food is delicious and you can get a real taste of Guatemalan culture through the market place. I always go whenever I'm in the country. If you haven't ever been to a market place, this is probably a nice and safe place to start off without being too worried of being robbed or straying too far away from the "safe" path. This is very tourist-y and will see a lot of other tourists there. Be aware, and remember you can ALWAYS bargain with the merchants.
