This is an interesting 'tourist-friendly' town that is known for its large market. Beyond the market, there are several weaving cooperatives that are worth visiting. I also enjoyed visiting and photographing the cemetery which is within easy walking distance of the downtown market. Unlike the solemn gravestones and mausoleums that you would find in most North American and European cemeteries, this place has very colorful headstones and buildings. I also watched some 'interesting' rituals being performed on the steps of the church there.

the market is only one day per week - its the best market I have ever been to! everyone is wearing mayan folk costumes - they wear them all the time - and the noise and activity are just crazy. A great place to buy woven items in bright colours
