As you drive into the town, look for the main square and these figures are under a pavillion there.

Although La Democracia struck me overall as a rather sad little town, it has some very interesting artifacts in the middle of its downtown square. Under a pavilion in the square there are some large Olmec heads. They have the very rounded 'baby-face' style to them. They are also figures with this shape as well. Very interesting if you are into archaeology. There is also a museum nearby but I didn't have time to go into this. It's an interesting place to stop for an hour or so.
