Xelaju is the municipal team in Quezaltenango.  There is a very large following in the city of the team.  If you buy a soda, you will receive the liquid in a plastic bag with a straw because they don't want for anyone to throw the can on the field.  On the contrary, it is totally expected that you shoot fire works onto the field at the commencement of the game.  Also, be prepared to learn all of those Spanish words that will come in handy at the bar =)  The food at half-time may be one of the biggest draws for any tourist.  Make sure you get a plate of churrascos for Q20 between halves but get there early as this is a very popular item!
