Ala Moana Center claims to be the world's largest open air shopping center. It has over 290 stores and restaurants on 4 levels. The selection of shops range from normal to high end, something for everyone with department stores like Sears, Macy's, Nordstrum and Neiman Marcus as anchors. Makai Market Food Court is located in the mall and can be accessed on the side with the transportation depot, Ala Moana Boulevard( ocean side) where all the trolleys stop.

Ala Moana Centre is very large and a great place to spend the day away from the beach. The place is always busy with tourists because of the shopping. The Makai Market food court is the best in Hoholulu with so many food choices.
