Jul 22, 2009 If you go to Maui, you must go snorkeling and scuba diving here. This is such a beautiful place. The back of this volcanic crater drops off to about 300 ft. and the visibility is 100 ft+. There's tons of sea life, including whales, sea turtles and white tip reef sharks. Note: unless you are an experience diver/swimmer, stay to the inner part of the crater. The rear side of the crater can be rough due to the current. Times slips by here as you swim along looking at all the sea life. Pure bliss. Oct 24, 2008 A great diving and Snorkeling spot. The coral is a little beat up due to the hoards of people that go there every day. If you are a scuba diver make sure you get on a dive only boat so your not with a hundred snorkelers. I have dove with Lahaina Divers a few times and have been very happy with them. Jun 18, 2008 WOW!!! Snorkeling at the Molokini crater was amazing!!! Awesome visibility. Just off Maui, so lots of tour boats go here. They anchor for a bit and let people snorkel. WOW. Alot of times, the tours will then take your to numerous other places. We went to Turtle Arches. Aug 12, 2008 Two words: SCUBA DIVING!!! The back wall of the crater is a fabulous deep/drift dive! The inside of the crater is also great for diving and/or snorkeling. Lots of wildlife...sharks, rays, eels, tons of fish, etc. Related Links
