It is a good place to visit. Transparent Cable cars ( 360 deg panoramic view) are available from Tung Chung MTR station to reach this place. You can enjoy the view through the cable car..HK intl airport is located nearby and the cable car crosses the hills and a Sea channel.

In a foggy weather you can almost not see the buddha when standing on its feet, but at the same time the place looked absolutely astonishing - the coulds made the place look so calm, mystical and magical. The trip there in a tram is also worth the fee. The tourist shops everywhere are a con. they break the illusion of a peaceful sanctuary.

Great place with great statue surrounded by moutains. You can see the South China Sea from the top. There's Po Lin Monastery near the Statue. Great views and great atmosphere. I love it:)
