Named after a favorite patriotic Hungarian poet, Mihály Vörösmarty Square is centrally located and easy to reach from most areas of Budapest, making it an ideal location for shopping or just strolling.

At the north end of the square is the famous Gerbeaud café and stairs to the southern terminus of the Budapest Metro 's venerable yellow line (M1).
The square is ringed by expensive cafés and restaurants catering mostly to tourists. Other tenants include offices for Ibusz and Aeroflot as well as the British Embassy. I like the events: at Christmas or Budapest Spring/Autumn Festival: with mulled wine or traditional hungarian suvenirs.

Maybe one of the most important place to visit in Budapest.Its central location is perfect and a lot to see around it.
