Szeged is a lively city on the shores of the river Tisza. One of the major cities on the Hungarian Great Plains, it has been a cultural and trading center for centuries. The main attraction is the Vocational Church (Dom) at Dom Square, where the famous musical and cultural festivals are held each summer.
