The reconstructed former Royal Palace from south of the Basilica was the royal residence until 1256, when the capital moved to Buda. The building became later the archbishop’s seat and now houses the Castle Museum.

The royal chapel is my favourite place in this castle. I try to imagine zhe ling was sitting there, and I can sit on that place also!

Amazing. Well worth the day trip. Can stop past it on the way out the East (ie Eger etc)
