Swimming Pool
One of Iceland's most popular destinations, the Blue Lagoon is rich in minerals such as silica and sulfer.  Interestingly, this lagoon is man-made, and the water is heated from a nearby geothermal power plant.

It's so cold in iceland. No wonder it's called ICE land :D A hot bath is the best you can wish for after a day in this country. What's better than a open, semi-natural hot bath? In the middle of nowhere there is this big pool where you can go to relax. They say the minerals in the pool have healing powers. I know for sure they have relaxing powers...After you leave the lagoon you feel so clean and relaxed you'll probably go straight to bed!

This was a truly amazing experience! The healing waters will transform you :) I rented a VIP suite and enjoyed the spa very much. The silica mud is so great for your hair and skin and the aquatic massages are very therapeutic. I would recommend this place to anyone. Especially when the Aurora borealis is visible!

Eine der bekanntesten und beliebtesten Sehenswürdigkeiten auf Island.

Super-tolles Thermalfreibad inmitten von Lavafeldern und schwarzen Sandstränden.

The blue lagoon is outside of Reykjavik, but it is worth the bus trip to go visit. This is a Volcanic Hot Springs that has been made into a very relaxing and comfortable place to visit - but best enjoyed when it is cold outside.
