Jun 10, 2011 It's an interesting place, not only for reasons of its particular geological history and present, but also because it is the place where the settlers to Iceland had their yearly meeting to take care of the business of governing themselves and making sure the laws are set and followed. Lots of wildlife as well and a great lake with crystal clear water that actually allows for superb diving opportunities. There's something in it for everyone, I guess ... Jul 9, 2011 A bizarre place that will take your breath away when entering although almost every spot on Iceland will take your breath away. The lakes with the clearest water I have ever seen, the canyon where Iceland is slowly growing bigger, the history that is behind it and the small but beautiful waterfall that runs into a small canyon which is above the rest of the valley and then drops out into the valley and into the lake. Beautiful :) Jul 2, 2011 This is where Icelandic Parliment was created so not only is it a beautiful park that you can hike and snorkle in but it is an important piece of history to the icelander. You can walk in the fault line where theeursain and northamerican plates are seperating. Mar 22, 2011 Geologically amazing, historically wonderful, aesthetically pleasing and not bad for a swim if your tough enough ;) Related Links
