It is a beautiful biggest temple built by P. Pramukhswami maharaj from BAPS. I recommend everyone should see it once in their life because it really will change your life. I went to see taj mahal before i saw Akshardham, i wished i had gone to see Akshardham 1st because i had a really bad experience at Taj Mahal. But after seeing Akshardham, i felt peaceful and forgot all about Taj Mahal. I have really changed a lot after that trip.
Akshardham is most memorizing place on earth; probably because it is not from this earth.

“This beautiful complex will become the number one monument of Delhi and hundreds of thousands of devotees and visitors will come to visit it from all four corners of the Earth. They will all be impressed by the attractive murtis, and the peaceful and devout atmosphere. Also, they will certainly return with increased spirituality and peace of mind.” - 6/11/2005 Dr. Manmohan Singh
Prime Minister of India

The Akshardam Temple complex is relatively new and still seems fairly little known. If you don't go to it though you are missing out on a LOT! It is incredibly beautiful - and it's vast! You need a lot of time to do it justice. Be aware that you can't take photos and in fact you can't take a bag or anything in with you. There is however a cloakroom where you can leave your belongings - but you're probably better leaving your valuables in your hotel. I didn't know about this rule before visiting and ended up having to leave my passport, camera and all sorts of stuff in the cloakroom. That said, I got it back without any problems, but I was a little anxious about handing it all over. You definitely shouldn't leave Delhi without paying Akshardam a visit - you wont be dissapointed!

Its a really nice beautiful place not to be missed. They have a 2 hours walk-in show in which they depict the different parts of the life and explain to us the function of human in life and how it has to be dealt. Bring family together and you will love the place, its as big as 10 football fields. Do not bring electronic gadgets as it is banned inside including mobile phones also. Leather items are also not allowed like bags or belts. It preaches Hindu culture inside so Muslims might not wanna go there.

Akshardham means the eternal, divine abode of the supreme God, the abode of eternal values and virtues of Akshar as defined in the Vedas and Upanishads where divine bhakti, purity and peace forever pervades...
No camera, no food, no water, no bags - nothing is allowed - except of money.

2006年初めに出来た、デリー郊外の超巨大ヒンドゥー寺院。
18~19世紀にグジャラート州にいたヒンドゥー教の聖人スワミナラヤンを祀った寺院。
すさまじい迫力、一見の価値あり。
