Dilli Haat is a shopping oasis of calm (something that's very rare in India!!!). It's a great place to go and chill-out if the madness of Delhi is getting to you. The products are good quality and there is no haggling or hassle. Despite being fixed-price the prices are very fair. Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; ; "Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} You pay a small fee to get in (20R or something!) which means there are no beggars and no harrassment. Even if you're not planning to shop, it's just leafy and nice and there's lots of great food to be had there (try Tibetan momo’s – yum!)

Absolutely fantastic place! The vendors change (every 15 days or so, usually) so there's no guarantee if you go back, you'll see the same thing again -- walk through once, compare prices, decide what you like, and bargain down, but get some unique and novel gifts (for yourself or others). Cotton handloomed saris, Orissan art, Kashmiri wool and silk embroidery, silk... it's all there. Also a great place to get ready-made kurtas and shoes.

Delhihut is a great place to shop if your not familiar with India. It has many of the things you can find around the country at slightly higher prices. If you do know your way around you can find much better bargains. I shopped one day and found all I needed.

It's a handicraft bazaar where you can pick up lovely local artefacts and handcrafted things to wear or decorate your house with. Great stuff!
