Most people stay in the third and farthest part. Walk back along the east side of the river. When you exit the second part, continue along the road along a dirt road. On your left hand side, you see another road, with brick walls on either side. On the wall on the right, there is a hole in the wall next to the gate. Crawl underneath and walk a bit further...

Rishikesh is a little town in the Himalaya. It's just a place to chill and hang out. The coffee bar at the end of the bridge is an excellent place for that: just watch people getting robbed from their food by the cheecky monkeys on the bridge.
Rishikesh consists of three prts. Near the second part is the ashram where the beatles stayed in 1962. Apparently the Indians don't really seem to care about that fact, so it's known to just a few people, and it's quite deteriorated unfortunately, but still worth visiting
