Dec 19, 2009 The Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve is the best place to see tigers in the wild in India. It has the largest number of tigers in relation to the area so there are more chances of sighting one in the wild from here than anywhere else. There are elephant rides in the evening where you are taken through the forest area for an hour long ride. There are many different types of accommodation available in the Tala area just outside the tiger reserve so you don't have to travel too far to go for the safari in the early morning which is usually the best time to see the tigers as well as other animals and birds in the forest. The Bandhavgarh Fort is also situated inside the tiger reserve area and is a pretty old fort with some rock cut sculptures of Lord Vishnu in the Sheshanaga avatar. I saw my first tigers in the wild from this place and recommend it to anyone who wants to see tigers!!! Related Links
