Dasaswamedh provides a beautiful and colorful riverfront view. A large number of Sadhus can be seen performing religious rites on this Ghat. Devotees must not miss the opportunity of visiting the Dasaswamedh Ghat in the evening when after Aarti, thousands of earthen lamps are immersed in the waters of the holy Ganges and the floating lamps give a divine look to the river at dusk. Oct 15, 2008 Varanasi is an interesting place. Nothing really prepares you for it. Rest of the town may look like many other North Indian towns but its the Ghats what makes it special. You can spend the whole day, perhaps days, going from Ghat to Ghat for each one is different in character and profile. Then evening comes and its time for the Aarti which takes place on the ghat facing the river. Its facinating and spiritual at the same time. Apr 28, 2009 Dasashwamedha Ghat is a great place to go in the evening to watch the Puja ceremony, its performed nightly and is worth seeing at least once. It goes on for a few hours and there is a lot of different dancing and music. It's a good way to see the pilgrims worshiping the river.
