Dec 26, 2009 The Kaziranga National Park is famous for the Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros which is the main animal here besides Tigers, Wild Elephants, Indian Bison Barasingha, Swamp and Hog deer, Turtles, Crocodiles, Leopards, Pythons and a lot of birds. The park has different paths like Mihimukh, Baguri, Hole path, Arimarah, Kohora Central Path-Baguri and Kohora Central Path-Bimoli all areas teeming with wildlife. On my visit here I was lucky to see four tigers together as we stopped in our tracks to see them cross the road majestically in front of us. The elephant ride to see the rhinoceros and other wildlife is really worth it but you have to book the ride early enough or else you will not get tickets since there are only a certain number of rides sold everyday. The jeep safari is also worth it but the elephant ride is always better to enjoy the wildlife watching from a vantage point from the elephant's back!!! Among the other attractions of this park are the Karbi village where you can see the tribals in their natural habitat as well as coffee and rubber plantations. Aug 1, 2010 I visited in 1998 n I was fascinated by the size of the lizards at the guest house, apart from that the elephant safari was awesome.... Related Links
