About Umaid Bhawan Palace
Build between 1929 and 1944, the Umaid Bhawan Palace was India's last palace, and was also one of the last royal constructions built to provide work and drought relief for the poor. The palace features a prominent centre dome that stands at 110 feet tall. The palace is built in Indo-Art-Deco style and the grounds cover over 25 acres.
The palace has currently been divided into a hotel, a residence for the royal family and a small museum that displays Jodhpur's royal heritage. Payment Accepted:
