The place is famed for the palace named after the land. The palace was built in the 15th century something like in the year 1601. Lots of history. Most amazing stuff about this place is how they have manged to keep the original look and feel, contents and its history in impeccale fashion. The malayalam movie manichitra thayyu was shot in this palace and its premises. Great for travellers, historians and information buffs....
