It is a majestic gate (26m) that stands at the shore of the Arabian Sea . In front of it there’s a wide sidewalk where tourists can take photos and buy souvenirs from the vendors. The gate was built to commemorate King George and Queen Mary visit to India . The last British troops left India through this gate in 1948. In front of it you can see The Taj Mahal Palace and Tower which is also a landmark in Bombay .
