Taman Mini Indonesia is a 'tiny town' tribute to the rest of Indonesia.  It attempts to illustrate the outer islands and varying cultures in Indonesia.  Great place for kids or if you want a culture tour, but can't visit anywhere else in Indonesia but Jakarta.  Hot and sweaty, take your insect repellent.

Worthwhile to hire bikes to ride around the park.

it's close to the national monument where all the museums are and the bird park

First time I went I loved the place - then I saw the real rest of Indonesia. Good if you can't travel anywhere else in Indonesia but Jakarta.
