Istiqlal Mosque, or Masjid Istiqlal, (Independence Mosque) in Jakarta, Indonesia is the largest mosque in Southeast Asia. It can contain up to 250 thousands of prayers. It was built as one of the monuments to independence of Indonesia. Mosque is build mostly of stainless steel and marble. It has "one minaret for all gods", thus symbolising a friendship between all five major religions in Indonesia. And just to approve that, just across the street stands a Catholig church. Worth to visin even though you are not muslim, just to see how beautiful it is from inside. You'll definetely will get a guide there and its free, just don't forget to leave a donation.
