May 7, 2009 I had heard Isfahan was such a beautiful city, which is very true. Now that I've visited there myself I understand why Iranians call it "Nesf Jahan" or half of the world! Naqshe Jahan means the craftsmanship of the world. And this is so true it is such a breath taking architecture so fine and complete. You cannot visit Isfahan and miss Naqshe Jahan. It is a definite must see. In there, not only can you get a fun ride on the horse carriages, browse the crafts and souvenir shops but also get a chance to study the rich history of that place especially when visiting the Shah's (Imam) mosque and the Sheikh Lutfulla mosque. If you are fond of Art Architecture you'll fall in love with that place. Nov 18, 2008 The name speaks for it's self: Centre of the World. Spectacular in the evening. This is a beautiful gathering place for friends, family and just people. Everybody is enjoying time passing by here. Meanwhile picknicking, walking, sitting. You can get a horse carriage ride here as well. Here you can still enjoy the amazing architecture and Ancient History of Persia. Definitely a must-have-seen ! Dec 9, 2009 One of the largest squares in the world with markets in the walkways under the buildings surrounding the square. Lots of artists display their work - paintings on camel bone mounted on picture frames. Lovely little tea shops also line the square. There are buggy rides around the square too.
