Trim is not a big place, but very picturesque. The castle is on one side of the river and on the other are remains of a tall tower. As far as I remember close to the center is also a beautiful neo-gothic church.
And the Irish people are as friendly as ever :)

This is the place where Braveheart is partially filmed.This is really nice site and the guides will tell you one interesting and brutal (!) story about the history of the castle.

Awesome castle where you can just wander about for a while. Perfect backdrop to a picknick as well.
