If coming from the north on the N67 when you get into Lisdoonvarna take a right at the main square to stay on the N67. It is on the left just past the red Roadside Tavern.

Jul 10, 2011 Even though Lisdoon is small, we for some reason had a hard time finding it, but honestly it isn't hard to find. you can see the Roadside Tavern from the town square and it's right down from that. Cute little place with a well-stocked gift shop. They have a short video on how the salmon is smoked. They're smoked salmon is basically lox (thinly sliced/ pressed and lightly smoked. We're from Alaska and when we think smoked salmon we think jerkey-style (mostly dried strips and a bit chewy- like a road trip snack). However, we were not disappointed in the quality. they have several varieties between seasoned and the quality of the salmon itself. Lots of crackers and other yummy snacks for purchase too. Also, you can try their smoked salmon as samples. The young man behind the counter was very helpful and nice. (he even told us where to go in Ennis to find an international charger- which we found without any problems.)
