Blarney Castle Gardens OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND! Blarney Castle was built nearly six hundred years ago by one of Ireland’s greatest chieftains, Cormac MacCarthy, and has been attracting attention beyond Munster ever since. Not all of that has been welcome, as Good Queen Bess and Oliver Cromwell could testify. But over the last few hundred years, millions have flocked to Blarney, making it a world landmark and one of Ireland’s greatest treasures. Now that might have something to do with the Blarney Stone, the legendary Stone of Eloquence, found at the top of our Tower. Kiss it and you’ll never again be lost for words. But don’t take our word for it – everyone from Sir Walter Scott to a host of American presidents, world leaders, and international entertainers has been eager to take advantage. If people come for the Stone, many stay for the mystical and beautiful Rock Close and gardens. Time has its own rules here. So settle down and spend some of that time with us.

You need to go in the time a year when you can enjoy the gardens. It is so amazing. The castle was the first I've ever been inside so it was a magical moment. You need to find the garden where the witch's rock is. So beautiful.

See the castle, kiss the Blarney stone (makes you talkative :-), go down the wishing steps and relax in the wonderful gardens!

After taking the adventurous trip up to the top and kissing hte stone please take time and explore to grounds. BEAUTIFUL!!

I personally found the gardens more exciting than the castle itself, but we were there at nightfall so maybe that's why.
