Inis Mor, the largest of the Aran Islands, is best experienced when you are able to devote a day night on the island in my opinion. Yes, it's true that you can see the main tourist spots of the island easily in one afternoon, but you will do so with hundreds of other tourists! After 5pm the majority of the tourists have gone back to the mainland and you are left to enjoy the true peacefulness of the island. It's a wonderful place where you can enjoy the simple things...walk along the rocky beaches, watch the beautiful sunset, and have a pint at the pub!
